Half of all men over the age of fifty will develop benign prostatic hyperplasia, or BPH, a condition that involves a congested, enlarged and inflamed prostate.
Frequent urination, nighttime urination (nocturia), sudden and urgent need to urinate, discomfort in the bladder, etc. are all signs of potential BPH problems.
Untreated, prostate gland enlargement can block the flow of urine out of the bladder and cause urinary tract problems and sexual dysfunction.
Fortunately, there is an age-old tradition of using safe natural herbal remedies to support prostate health and functioning.

SAW PALMETTO BERRIES (Serenoa repens) – contains active constituents of plant sterols including Beta-Sitosterol, flavonoids and fatty acids. Saw Palmetto has been used for centuries by Native Americans for prostate and urinary disorder. Modern clinical research cal research shows that Saw Palmetto extract is beneficial in Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH). The known mechanism of action of Saw Palmetto in the treatment of BPH is its ability to inhibit the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), the agent thought to be responsible for the enlargement of the prostrate. In a European long-term study of 150 men with clinically diagnosed BPH and complaints of prostatic symptoms, Saw Palmetto demonstrated "the long-term efficacy and tolerability of to support its use as a first-line medical therapy for uncomplicated symptomatic BPH. In that study Saw Palmetto improved key markers such as the International Prostate Symptom Score (I-PSS) and quality of life.
Pygeym Bark (Pygeum Africanus) –A tree native to Central and Southern Africa, Pygeum bark is renowned for its ability to address BPH symptoms. Pygeum is often used singularly or in combination with Saw Palmetto Berries. It has been found to be effective in men who have not shown significant improvement with Saw Palmetto Berries alone. Since the 1960s Pygeum has been utilized in Europe as a complementary therapy for the treatment of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH). Over 1500 men have been involved in 18 clinical trials testing the efficacy of Pygeum Bark for treatment of BPH. Statisticians at the Center for Chronic Disease Outcomes in Minneapolis, Minnesota searched all published studies from 1966 to 2000. Compared to men receiving placebo, men using pygeum were more than twice as likely to report an improvement in symptoms. Nocturia (waking up at night to go to the bathroom) was reduced 20 percent. Adverse effects due to pygeum were mild and comparable to placebo.
Pumpkin Seed (Cucurbita pepo) - Pumpkin Seeds are a natural way to revitalize the prostate gland, treat inflamed bladder and stimulate male hormone production. Protein- and nutrient-rich, Pumpkin Seeds contain four times the amount of beta-carotene than carrots. Pumpkin Seed was approved by the German Commission E, a government regulatory agency that evaluates the safety and efficacy of herbs, for supporting bladder and prostate health. Human clinical trials have found that Pumpkin seed both improves urological health and quality of life. Two other clinical trials tested the effects of the combination of pumpkin seed and saw palmetto found that these herbs when paired improved the symptoms of incomplete bladder emptying, urinary flow, and frequency of urination.
Stinging Nettle Root (Urtica dioica root) – In a clinical study of over 600 men, Stinging Nettle Root was found to have produced improvements in urological symptoms including urine flow and emptying of the bladder, in 81% of the men under observation.
